Do the books cover BAL compliance or local council requirements?
The Allan Staines construction manuals cover general building practices and principles used across Australia. Because BAL zones and local council regulations vary significantly from region to region and are updated regularly, the books do not cover site-specific compliance requirements. For current BAL or council-specific rules, we recommend contacting your local council or a licensed building certifier directly.
Are the books suitable for beginners or apprentices?
Yes. The books are written to be practical and accessible, making them well suited to apprentices and people new to construction as well as experienced tradespeople and owner-builders looking for a reliable reference.
Are these the official Allan Staines manuals?
Yes. Building Books Australia is the authorised Australian distributor for Allan Staines construction manuals. Every book sold through our store is a genuine, current edition title.
Do you offer digital or eBook versions?
We sell physical books only. All titles are printed and shipped directly to you. Allan Staines books are not available as eBooks or digital downloads.
How long does it take to receive my order?
